Jets Battle Hard in High-Scoring 9-6 Thriller

 

Castle Donington Jets put in another impressive performance, taking on a competitive opponent in a thrilling 9-6 loss. While the result didn’t go their way, the boys and girls showcased great passing, constant communication, and relentless tackling, proving that the win is only a matter of time! 

 

Thomas was brilliant in goal during the first half, keeping the team in the game, while Chloe and Grace executed the instruction to “keep the pressure on” perfectly, challenging every ball and disrupting the opposition.

 

In midfield and attack, Myles, William, Santi, and Kyree were everywhere — linking play, creating chances, and delivering some lovely passing football that had fans on the edge of their seats.

 

Looking ahead, the focus for Tuesday’s training will be on finding the best space to play the right pass and maintaining concentration until the game is fully secure.

Warriors Storm to a 10-0 Away Victory at Alvaston FC Pele

 

A fantastic away performance from the CDFC Warriors this morning saw them secure a commanding 10-0 win against Alvaston FC Pele. The boys started a little tentative in the opening 10 minutes but soon found their rhythm, growing in confidence and becoming virtually unplayable as the game progressed.

 

The match was a superb display of passing, pressure, and persistence, with the Warriors controlling play and creating chance after chance. In truth, the score could have been even higher.

 

A special shoutout to Harry, who scored his first goal for Donington, after already hitting the post earlier in the game — a memorable moment for him!

Saturday 22nd November 2025 saw an absolutely thrilling match for the Castle Donington Raptors, who pulled off an incredible 6-5 victory after being 0-4 down at half time. The determination and character shown by the team was nothing short of remarkable — the kids should be immensely proud of this performance!

The day started cold and wet, and the Raptors struggled to find their rhythm in the first half, conceding 2 goals in the first quarter and another 2 before the break. Going into half time 0-4 down, it looked like an uphill battle, but the players regrouped brilliantly.

During the break, the coaching team reminded the Raptors of the tactics and principles practiced in training, and the players responded perfectly. The second half was a masterclass in resilience:

The 3rd quarter saw two goals ignite the comeback.

Momentum carried into the final quarter as the Raptors kept possession, scored another two goals to equalise at 4-4, before Bingham briefly regained the lead at 4-5.

With only minutes remaining, the Raptors pushed relentlessly and scored twice more, sealing an incredible 6-5 victory.
